Earlier this month, LightArt participated in Barkitecture, a yearly fundraising event put on by the NW division of Luxe Magazine.
Teams of six, comprised of an Architect, Contractor, Interior Designer, Landscape Architect, and two Project Managers, were grouped randomly and set to the task of creating a doghouse to be auctioned off for charity. Each team had a month to design and build the project, culminating in a Seahawks themed event at the Seattle Design Center. All proceeds were donated to Brigadoon Dogs, an organization that trains and provides service animals to those in need.
Keeping with the “12th Man” theme, Team LightArt designed a portable doghouse that could convert into a tailgating bar at a moments notice. The doghouse came complete with a swinging cabinet, tub for drinks, built in cup holders, and a sliding dog bed.
The event was full of energy, excitement, and most importantly – dogs in costume!
Make sure to check out Brigadoon Dogs for more information on how you can support a great cause. Thanks to everyone who participated and to all of the sponsors!
